Comment Moderation Guidelines
It's never really come up before, but with some recent links from high-traffic sites, it's no longer just people I know in real life reading my blog. So I figure I should lay out my personal rules for comment moderation. These are subject to change at any time.
Any spam will be deleted. I will make every effort not to edit or delete a comment from a real person who isn't trying to sell something. I don't like to censor, and I hope I never have to. People who say stupid things will simply be ignored. If they make that impossible, I will edit or delete comments, but it won't make me happy.
So, if your comment gets deleted, you're either a spammer, or you've really crossed a line. I will not let my blog turn into a place for people to say obnoxious and offensive things whenever they want.
I really hope I never have to delete a comment from a real person. But I can't say that it will never happen.
